Photography is exploration.

Shape and form, light and shadow – the relationships of these – all are explored on a flat, still plane which is given meaning by the photographer and by the viewer.

I think photography has much less to do with reality than it may appear to, and much more to do with imagination, self-expression, distillation and viewpoint.
